11 years ago today… ELEVEN! Where has the time gone? I remember it like it was yesterday. My parents came to visit from Michigan, and we went on a cruise on Norwegian Cruise Lines out of Charleston, SC – we had so much fun. We ate well, and they had Cooking Light (smarter options) available at each meal. Everything was fabulous!
I remember my mom packing a water bottle (full) in my dad’s duffle/suitcase… we all had our bags delivered to our rooms except for my dad. You are not allowed to bring alcohol onto the ship and they figured the water bottle was alcohol, so no luggage. Stood in a very long line to get the luggage (and the water bottle that was indeed water) back. There was a huge box where they put the confiscated liquor – you don’t get it back in case you’re wondering, ha ha… at least not then. Of course this was 11 years ago!
Normally I have a HORRIBLE sense of direction – and Fred has a scary good sense of direction. He can’t understand my lack of sense of direction (runs in the family!) – yet on the ship I HAD a perfect sense of direction and his was scary NOT good… every time we would head back to the room he would go the wrong way, then he hesitated to follow me, ha ha…
Good times, great memories – probably won’t take another cruise – once was good, but we had a good time!
Note to self: Stand up straight, jeez! – Catch you back here tomorrow!
