Sometimes it’s nice to get away. Somewhere different from where you are. If the weather is hot, then a cool location sounds wonderful. If it’s cool it would be nice to feel the sun shining. Cleaning out photos the other day I ran across this photo taken years ago at the Ritz Carlton – Amelia Island. We went for a few years at Thanksgiving and what a great time we had. We found a wonderful little Italian restaurant, Luigi’s Trattoria, – that was out of this world (sadly, it’s no longer there).
I remember the lobby of the Ritz had a (child) life size ginger bread house, they also had all kinds of functions, hot chocolate, Smore’s around a fire on the beach, a hayride with Santa – did we go? Oh, heck yeah! Big kids have fun too! We got up early and watched the sunrise – and saw the sunset in the evenings.
When you don’t have time to physically go on a vacation – take a quick one just by picturing that fabulous place that you wish you were. Close your eyes, breathe deep, imagine yourself there. Ahhh, feel the stress level lower? Yes!
