Building… everywhere. I can’t tell you how many cranes are hovering above the Charleston, SC landscape, especially on the peninsula. Very large buildings, condos, apartments and in this image a pretty cool development that will include a grocery store, high end apartments, restaurants and retail spaces – This area is called WestEdge (Charleston) and it sounds like it’s going to be quite the place to live, especially if you work at one of the nearby hospitals, colleges, etc.
It’s a bit disconcerting to see quite so many cranes and so many large apartment/condo buildings being built on every inch of soil. The traffic is already horrendous, once these building are populated… it’s going to be interesting. Hopefully there will be a plan in place to help accommodate more cars!
