Years ago we bought this cool tinsel tree. Then as we were walking the dog we saw that someone cleaned out their attic and placed these vintage ornaments (still in the box) by the road with the trash. We picked them up and they worked perfectly on this tree. It was like Christmas to pick up something so cool!
Years later, we’ve streamlined everything. You know, the “less is more” approach. Trying to pair down and not have anything cluttering counters/tables, etc. We went through our Christmas items and anything that we didn’t LOVE or have a place for went in a box and was put by the road with a FREE sign on it. It was fun to watch the items quickly go. In no time the box was empty, people had smiles on their faces AND we weren’t storing items we were no longer using.
That’s what you call a win-win situation, ha ha. So don’t be afraid to get rid of the items that you no longer use. Especially if they don’t have sentimental ties! It feels good to be free of some of the extra “stuff”.
